Back in Japanese-occupied Korea at 19-25, Chun Man-duk, a priest that is revered, lives along with his teenaged son, Seok, at a hut near Mount Jirisan. The Japanese governor-general overseeing the job gathers tiger pelts as being a spare time activity of seeming cultural dominance and soon becomes obsessed with murdering possibly the last surviving fighter in Korea, an enormous one-eyed man that lives in the mountain, and it has killed scores of hunters.
